How I wish to indulge in my all-time favorite Yakisoba from Wagamama. When I was new to Japanese Cuisine, my safest option to savor was picking rice noodles every time. You cant go wrong with rice noodles. Simple and fresh. But when I ordered ‘Yasai Yakisoba with Udon Noodles’ at Wagamama’s… Woah! Such a refreshing, aromatic and delicious blend of pleasant flavours. A perfect one pot meal on any day, any occasion.
Thick cylindrical wheat flour noodles with gorgeous mushrooms, peppers, beansprouts, spring onions impeccably decked with fried shallots, pickled ginger and sesame seeds and mild hints of soy sauce, salt and pepper. So simple and so comfortable. As, I am vegetarian and avoid eggs, a vegan yakisoba is all I need on any day.

Oh, I am in deep love with the pickled ginger and always order extra :-). And yes not a single dish at Wagamama goes without its famous shichimi spice. I have tried a couple of times at home by blending red chilli flakes, dried orange peel, white sesame seeds, black sesame seeds, nori flakes, poppy seeds and ginger, but always pound on Wagamama, they do it brilliantly..
Aahh… Hope to relish the glorious dish from Wagamama soon. Yes, I adore Kare Burosu too (Mentioned earlier in my blog – theplatterdelights.food.blog/2020/02/21/kare-burosu-the-ultimate-one-pot-meal-at-wagamama/), but yakisoba is special as I started devouring Japanese Cuisine with it 🙂
