Ever after I have made Dark Chocolate Ganache, I am experimenting the technique with other ingredients – milk chocolate, different Dairy Milk bars, peanut butter and of late Nutella. Every ingredient has its own charm to it, and I really fond of all of them. On one fine day, I am making sexy truffles out of it, and on another I am dripping over a cake and somewhere in between I am digging my dessert spoon to simply eat it as it is!
Well, today I am here with a little twist to our classic Strawberry Mousse. Of late, I have become a big fan of Nutella and I love strawberries, and when I mix these two in one single recipe, I am always sure that it will be a hit (at least for me!). So, when I added a good dollop of Nutella ganache to this mousse, it simply elevated my dessert to a sweet ‘ambrosial’ level. Here is my recipe –

Nutella Ganache Topped with Strawberry Mousse –
Ingredients –
Nutella Spread – 1 Small Cup
Thick/Double Cream – 1.5 Small Cups
Strawberries – 1 Cup
Heavy/Whipping Cream – 1 Heaping Cup (10 Oz)
Granulated Sugar – ¾ Cup

Method –
- Add boiling cream onto Nutella spread in a bowl. Let it settle for 30 seconds and mix well until you see a gleaming glaze over it. (Make sure you don’t over boil the cream. Just a few bubbles and its ready)
- Divide Nutella ganache into small jars (cups or shot glasses or bowls) and refrigerate for 20 minutes to set.
- Slice Strawberries and add it to the blender with sugar. Puree until smooth.
- Remove ¾ cup of puree and keep aside
- Beat whipping cream in a large bowl with a hand mixer until stiff peaks form.
- Fold remaining puree into cream gently with a spatula (Be careful to not to mix much)
- Now add strawberry puree on the ganache and top it with strawberry cream
- Refrigerate for 2-3 hours. Garnish with strawberries and serve
- Yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm! Enjoy
