Blame it on its bland taste, strong smell or the texture, I know many of them who are not a fan of Broccoli. But perhaps it is one of the healthiest single foods available on the planet.

It is especially good for vegetarians, as it holds a good source of vitamin A, potassium, iron and fiber and broccoli has as much calcium as milk. Whenever we think of Vitamin C, obviously oranges come to our mind. However, one cup of cooked broccoli has as much vitamin C as an orange!
The simplest and healthiest recipe of all is Steamed or Sautéed Broccoli – just a little bit of olive oil, salt and pepper. You can also add them in your salads or pastas or veg bake. A quite versatile vegetable in Italian Cuisine and many others.
